Greetings, GAWDs!
I’m Dr. Michelle C. Chatman—mom, daughter, wife, auntie, and #1 honorary Grand’Ya (that’s Grandma + Iya for the culture!). I’m also a cultural anthropologist, author, professor, community ritualist, TEDx speaker, recording artist, and Disco Diva! I've been leading transformative people-centered work for over 25 years. As a global voice in mindfulness and contemplative practices, I was named one of the 10 Powerful Women in the Mindfulness Movement by mindful.org. My real superpower though? Waking up the Divinity in my DNA and helping you do the same!
I founded The Black Mindfulness Summit and the Mindful and Courageous Action (MICA) Lab at my university, where we center healing and justice in everything we do. I’m also the Founder and Chief Dreamer of The GAWD Movement, where high-achieving women reclaim their freedom, fulfillment, and joy.
These days I’m intentionally amplifying my POWER to create a life of thriving NO MATTER WHAT!
